Occhio Glass
The Occhio Glass is made using an Italian “Pineapple” Optic Mold, which is categorized by its pinecone geometric resemblance. This Particular mold that we use is over a century old and came from a glassblowing workshop in Tuscany that made chandeliers and wine bottles, among other things. The shape of this classic Italian optic mold is inspired by the pineal gland as rendered by the Roman Catholic Church. The Pineal gland, also referred to as the ‘third eye” is a gland that resides in the frontal cortex of your brain and regulates circadian rhythms. The Occhio Glass has the weight of a classic rocks glass, while projecting light refracted from its pinecone texture. Each glass is completely hand blown and hand opened after receiving its signature texture in the first steps of formation.
